Wendell Carter Jr. is now an official Ambassador for VirtualStaX! The Orlando Magic power forward joins the team just after concluding his best NBA season yet and is the first active NBA player to sign with VirtualStaX.

A standout in high school, Carter was a McDonald’s All-American in his senior year in addition to being nationally ranked as the number 1 power forward and overall number 4 player in the 2017 recruiting class.

Signing with Duke University in 2017, Carter put together a monstrous season as he and center Marvin Bagley III spent the year terrorizing ACC frontcourts. During his first and only season playing NCAA basketball, Duke finished the year second in the ACC and was a 2nd seed in the NCAA Tournament, ending their championship run at the Elite Eight.

Wendell Carter Jr. was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the seventh pick in 2018. After nearly three seasons in Chicago, Carter was sent to Orlando as part of a blockbuster trade that sent longtime Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic to Chicago in March of 2021. This past year, his first full season with the Magic, Carter had a career-best season as he averaged a double-double for the first time in his career.

We are thrilled to welcome Wendell to the team, and we believe that he embodies the core values and spirit of the VirtualStaX mission, said Rudolf Markgraaf, CEO of VirtualStax.

Wendell Carter Jr. is a rising star in the NBA, and with VirtualStaX he will be looking to rise even higher than ever before.  His strong community based character has led to his accomplishments on and off the court.  VirtualStax is honored to add Wendell to our team of Ambassadors.  Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. VirtualStaX will change that for Basketball enthusiasts all over the world.
